Workshop: Talking to teens about Sex, Sexuality and Relationships

Conversations about sex, sexuality, and relationships can feel daunting for many parents and caregivers, yet they are among the most important talks we can have with our teens. This 90-minute workshop is designed to help you feel more prepared and confident when navigating these conversations with adolescents ages 10–19.

Through guided discussion, we will explore:

  • The common physical and social-emotional changes of adolescence
  • Approaching topics of pleasure, consent, and safe sex in age-appropriate ways
  • Understanding teen sexuality, exploration, and the impact of porn viewing
  • Supporting teens through relationships, dating, breakups, and the anxieties that come with them

You’ll leave with strategies to show up for your teen—no matter your own comfort level—while fostering openness, trust, and healthy communication.

The facilitator will send a Zoom link during the week of the event.

Workshop: Effective Coping Strategies for Adolescent Stress

Stress and anxiety are increasingly common among adolescents, impacting both their mental and physical health. These challenges, which have only intensified since the pandemic, are a growing concern. Join us to learn more about how stress manifests in teens, how to recognize the signs and symptoms, and when medical intervention may be necessary. You’ll leave with practical coping strategies teens can use on their own, as well as tools and techniques for parents to support their children through stressful times.

The facilitator for this 90-minute workshop will reach out with a zoom meeting link the week of the event.
